[art] wow why am i so sky-pilled

i guess i was inspired a lot by the trip! then again, it really doesn't take much to get me thinking about the sky in the first place.

"rayquaza used outrage"! it's been a long time since i've done much fanart at all, but i felt compelled suddenly to do some formline pokemon takes. i have a few other sketches in the loadout like luxray and torracat, and i hope to do even more like maybe reshiram and zekrom. i intentionally painted rayquaza a bit darker to make it more ambiguous as to whether he was shiny or not.

a finished sketch that i started on one of the plane rides in august. wings make me feel a little longing, maybe even sick to draw.. littered throughout the art is the phrase "nii gwii", which means "look there" in sm'algya̱x.

"wings for the land animals", or journey to the furry con / language meet! while doing the aforementioned travelling to the language thing i was invited to this summer (which i posted about in more detail here), i was thinking about how planes are a funny way that my indigenous language and furry worlds overlap; at least in north america, and especially in alaska/parts of BC where a lot of my language crew congregates, we often rely on them to stay connected offline. also just thought formline aeromorph would be sick.
