general:
enjoying being back in the chilly weather in michigan USA! not as cold as i'm used to back home but that's climate change for you. just recently got over being pretty sick, therapy's been going really well, and i'm getting used to cooking with an instant pot for the first time; i made this butter chicken recipe as my first go and it's actually the tastiest fucking thing i've ever had.
gaming:
- currently playing: nothing new atm; watching my girlfriend play Ghost of Yotei and currently re-playing Tears of the Kingdom for her. i finished Clair Obscur in mid-august, took a couple months to process it and write up my thoughts - you can read em here!
- playing soon, in no particular order: Persona 3 Reload, Titanfall 2, Sekiro, Lies of P. P3R will be fun to re-experience one of my favourite games. Sekiro and Lies of P are part of the journey i'm on for getting into Soulslikes after tearing through Elden Ring and Bloodborne. Titanfall is a big step out of my comfort zone - i've only ever played 1 FPS over a decade ago and never thought i'd revisit them - but i'm discovering how appealing precise action/movement tech is to me in games and maybe it'll broaden my horizons!
see my #games tag for a past catalogue! i also have a gamer page for a condensed list of challenging runs and things i've done, or you can scroll my #hard_mode tag for more details of any challenges i've written on.
reading:
not really doing this as much as i want right now mostly because of ongoing therapy and life changes - but i have lots of stuff queued up in the way of tsimshian/NA pacific coast literature, world history, politics, and critical health. i'm mostly a non-fiction reader these days.
study & work:
still studying sm'algya̱x and doing art stuff like always! i recently taught my first language class with a focus on sm'algya̱x grammar, and as far as art goes i'm just chugging along running my sticker club, doing private work, and making some time in it all for personal art. i want to push myself to do more and weirder work this year.
